DatMoney Posts I Think Will Help You Make Money Online

I was having a discussion the other day with a person that wanted me to help them make money online on their spare time. Of course, that is such a generic topic to explain because there are so many ways to make money online that I didn’t know where to start.

After explaining that there are endless ways to make money online, I just told her to go to DatMoney and read some of my posts. But if someone were to stop here for the first time, you probably wouldn’t see all the great, yet hidden, posts that will help you guys. So, I decided to make a list of posts I think will help you guys more than others.

I mean, there are a bunch of rants and ramblings between these informative posts so they get lost in the mix.

But here are a handful of posts I think will help starters as well as people that have been making money online for quite sometime now.

How much is your site worth? All your site selling points. - If you’re making a site for the purpose to sell, these are the areas you may want to focus on to get the best price for your site.

People’s make money online problem: They don’t know how to monetize – Anyone can get traffic, build links, start a site but a lot of people complain about making money and monetizing. Here is a list of ways to monetize your site.

How I built my niche websites – Looking to build a whole bunch of niche websites as a one-time setup and watch your Adsense earnings increase? Or maybe you want to sell the site after a couple of days? Either way, here is how you would build a niche website.

How to make $100/day with Google Adsense – This post is how I made my first $100/day from Adsense alone and I explain how I did it. Currently, it is password protected but just contact me and I’ll hook you up with the password. But please don’t tell anyone!

Using Google’s Traffic Estimator to Maximize Adsense Earnings – This post talks about how to increase your earnings to target specific keywords to show up on your ads and how to do it.

Make more money with ugly sites – This post focuses on the fact that great design doesn’t always tell it all. If you are paranoid about your site not looking too good, it doesn’t matter, if you do it right you can make more money than you expect!

How to get free content for your blog – This may be unethical to some but I posted it because I know how to do it and it exists. I don’t do it but just incase you guys need to do it for junk Adsense sites, this is a good way.

How I do keyword research – Focusing on search engine traffic is largely based on the keywords and once you find that information out, you should be able to get tons of traffic which equals money in your pockets.

Search engine traffic = more money and RSS Feed subscribers – This post talks about how search engine traffic can make you money and how you can turn your search engine traffic into subscribers, easily.

I think those posts will definitely help you in more ways than one. Of course, there are more posts that will help you on my blog but I didn’t want to list 200+ posts and bore you guys.

If you need any help, let me know!

Are You Writing Too Many Paid Reviews?

How many paid reviews are too many paid reviews? That question has been asked a lot since I started blogging and honestly, is there really a true answer?

There are tons of people who despise paid review posts on their favorite blogs, matter of fact, they find that as a turn-off. Since I started blogging, everyone kept telling me to focus on the content and don’t write too many paid reviews because it would take away the quality of the content for your readers.

On the other hand, people need some money in their pockets, right? But are you writing too many paid reviews? Is it going to hurt you more or less? Is the money really worth it?

Well, let me answer some of those questions in my own opinion.

Personally, I don’t mind reading a paid review on a blog that I read regularly but let’s say there should definitely be more regular posts than paid reviews. And if it’s even borderline 50/50, then that is way too many.

Again, I understand you need money and stuff, but is it really worth losing your readership over?

Most people I ask don’t mind a review here and there. When it comes down to it, I asked a bunch of people from various forums and a majority said once a week is a good number. In addition, a few reviews a week would bother them and anything more than that, they would probably unsubscribe to that blog.

So, is the money really worth it? Well, it depends how much you charge. And of course, the price you charge is usually based on how much traffic you get, how many RSS Feed subscribers, etc. If you charge $500/review and write once a week, well, there’s $2,000 extra in your pocket each month.

But if you charge a lot less (which most people do), the quantity is almost not worth it.

Say you charge $10/review but you want to write as many as you possibly can because you need the money. You would need to write 50 just to get $500 and if you write even half that many reviews in a month I can almost guarantee you that you won’t have that readership you worked so hard for.

Keep in mind, no readership = no paid reviews. Companies want you to sell their product to your readers but if you have none then why would they purchase one from you? And of course a domino affect takes place because then you would charge less, either that, you keep the same pricing you had and get 0 opportunities.

So, are paid reviews and the money worth it? Yes. But you have to keep a balance because if you lose your readership then you also lose that money.

Don’t forget that!

WordPress v2.6.3 - Security Fix

wordpress-v263.jpg

A small update in terms of security fix for v2.6 legacy. I reckon the last of it before v2.7 is rolled out in November. Get your v2.6.3 upgrade

A vulnerability in the Snoopy library was announced today. WordPress uses Snoopy to fetch the feeds shown in the Dashboard. Although this seems to be a low risk vulnerability for WordPress users, we wanted to get an update out immediately. 2.6.3 is available for download right now. If you don’t want to download the whole release to get the security fix, you can download the following two files and copy them over your 2.6.2 installation.

1. wp-includes/class-snoopy.php
2. wp-includes/version.php

WPDesigner Former Owner Refunds Member

homer-doh.jpg

To be a ’successful’ blogger online, you need blogging values. Yes there is such a thing.

Blogging values are very much evident from how a person write their entries, respond to comments and revert to feedback. It all boils down to each individual person right.

Remember WPDesigner which was sold for some US$65,000 back in March. The owner ‘Small Potato’ or Tung Do decides to sell his successful theme site after he wanted some time-off and just travel.

Well it just so happen he just opened a members only site where members can access to 12 premium themes for just $5 yearly just around the same time he was about to sell his site. There were only 4 themes only on offer, and its up to the new owner to continue the work right.

Fast forward 6 months later, the new owner left WPDesigner untouched for reason unknown, with the $400 monthly hosting fees still being paid regularly.

So now Small Potato is back, and did the right thing by refunding the members of the $5 fee.

Swell … that’s a nice thing to do, even if it isn’t his to do. WPDesigner new owner it seems has M.I.A.

My E-mail Problems

I know some of you guys have sent me some e-mails recently and if you didn’t get a reply from me that means the problems with my e-mails still exist.

I have a lot of e-mail accounts but the primary one for DatMoney.com is the same e-mail that is used on my contact form. Some people seem to get my e-mail just fine and others do not. I even tried to send e-mails to my other accounts to see which ones received it and which one did not.

From the last that I checked, gmail e-mail accounts should receive my e-mail just fine but yahoo e-mails doesn’t seem to be receiving any of them.

To make matters even worse, I get my comments forwarded to me whenever one is made, whenever one needs approval, etc and I haven’t received any at all. I just checked my comments and I had 10 comments that needed approval so I just wanted to apologize to those that commented and your comments didn’t show up instantly.

I’m still baffled on why I’m having such technical problems with things as well as problems in general (remember the post on why you should not rely on one source of income, well, still not fixed).

Anyways, sorry for the short post and delay in updating, I’ve been extremely busy and I’m trying to deal with a bunch of annoying problems. But I should be back with some great posts and informative ones that will help you guys out soon!
